Picturesque gardens in Paris: The city of love, places where you and your loved can have a walk

Actualizado: 1 may 2021

Paris, the well-known city of love, full of beautiful landscapes, monuments and of course picturesque gardens in Paris. Here are 2 quick suggestions of places where you can spend a romantic evening with your loved one, enjoying a good wine, croissants and why not, a breathtaking scenery.

  • Parc des Buttes-Chaumont

  • Parc Monceau

Parc des Buttes-Chaumont

Let's start with Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, established in 1867, located in the 19th arrondissement, with 24.7 hectares, is one of the most romantic and largest parks in Paris, where you can do just about everything. This picturesque garden provides you with plenty of flat grass ground, where you can have a lovely picnic. Imagine the scene, a blanket, a couple of wine glasses, red berries, some cheese, slices of bread, your loved one and you living your own romantic movie. And then a walk along the lake, appreciating the beautiful waterfall that runs inside a quarry.

Parc Monceau

Let's go to the other side of the city, Parc Monceau located in the 8th arrondissement, is today one of the most elegant gardens in Paris, surrounded by a wide variety of trees, has a pond where you can appreciate different types of ducks and other birds swimming. There's also a romantic bridge bordered by flowers, where you can enjoy a nice walk with your beloved and listen to the birds singing.

Picturesque garden in Paris and romantic Parc Monceau: once an inspiration for Monet to create 6 different paintings.

This picturesque garden is decorated with wonderful marble statues of writers and musicians such as Frederic Chopin, Guy de Maupassant, among others.

It should be noted that this garden was the inspiration for the french painter Claude Monet to create a six painting series in 1876 depicting the beauty of nature in the garden, which on a romantic date could be an interesting topic to talk about.
