Sightseeing in Paris

Paris, the capital of France, is a major European city and a renowned centre for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Its 19th century cityscape contains wide boulevards and the Seine River. Apart from these landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower and the 12th century Gothic cathedral of Notre Dame, the city is famous for its café culture and designer fashion boutiques.



Eiffel Tower


Built in 1889, the Eiffel Tower defines the Paris skyline, this sightseeing in Paris is one of the most visited monuments in the world. Gustave Eiffel’s indelible tower is an icon of France and symbolizes the magic of Paris to romantics around the world. The tower has three levels open to visitors, but if you have a head for heights there’s nothing like the views from the top overlooking Paris!

Arc de Triomphe


One of Paris’ grandest monuments, the Arc de Triomphe was built to celebrate Napoleon’s victory at Austerlitz in 1806. Today it honors the soldiers who fought and died in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars and World War I.

Sacré-Coeur


The Sacré-Cœur church another sightseeing in Paris, built in 1919, is one of the most emblematic monuments in Paris. Located at the top of Montmartre, it offers one of the most incredible panoramic views of Paris at an altitude of 130 meters. With its Roman-Byzantine style, the basilica also stands out for its white colour.

The statues:

  • West side, Saint Louis brandishing the sword, points down. He is the only king of France who has been canonized and over time legend has replaced historical truth. He is in charge, at the threshold of the Basilica, to represent Justice.


  • Joan of Arc, another emblematic saint of France, recovered by national movements of bad quality.

Louvre Museum

Located in Rue de Rivoli, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, The Louvre is France's national museum devoted to fine art, archaeology and decorative arts before Impressionism. The Tuileries Garden has been attached to the Louvre since January 2005.


The former royal palace unveils its masterpieces: the Mona Lisa, The Raft of the Medusa, the Venus de Milo, The Winged Victory of Samothrace… In total, some 35,000 works in this Sightseeing in Paris.
